PRS is pleased to announce a new collaboration aimed at introducing the PRS 6 pallet into Trinseo’s European pallet streams.
Trinseo is a specialty materials solutions provider, and the PRS 6 pallet will be introduced for the company’s compounds and copolymer resins manufactured in Terneuzen, the Netherlands. These materials are used in automotive and consumer goods applications.
As of 1 February, PRS will begin supplying the PRS 6 pallet to support Trinseo’s European logistics flows. The PRS 6 is a newly developed pallet within the PRS portfolio.
For PRS, this partnership marks an important step into a new market segment. While PRS has traditionally focused on closed pooling solutions for the polyolefin value chains, this collaboration expands its footprint into the world of styrenic polymers.
Trinseo’s decision to work with PRS is driven by its ambition to further improve the sustainability of its supply chain. The PRS closed pallet pooling system supports this ambition by offering a circular, efficient, and sustainable reuse solution for pallets. In this way Trinseo is already prepared for the upcoming reuse targets for transport packaging, as stated in the PPWR (Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation), which will come into effect in August this year.
Through this collaboration, PRS and Trinseo aim to strengthen supply chain performance while contributing to a more sustainable value chain across Europe.
