Collaboration for a greener supply chain
For more than 30 years, PRS has been organising the controlled re-use and shared use of CP-type pallets for the European polymer industry.
It is thanks to the collaboration within our network - producers, distributors, converters, carriers and depots across Europe - that we can operate a truly circular pooling model, where pallets are collected, refurbished and reused again and again.
To recognise these efforts, we created the PRS Green Label: a certificate awarded to partners who demonstrate strong commitment to returning pallets and keeping valuable resources in circulation.
How it works
Partners who achieve a return rate of at least 65% qualify for the PRS Green Label. The return rate is the amount of PRS pallets that we collected and received back, divided by the amount of 'in pool'* pallets that were sent.
Every certificate comes with a personalised digital webpage, where companies can view and share their results:
- Number of returned pallets
- Overall return rate
- Estimated number of trees saved
- Return Stars earned
This makes the PRS Green Label both a recognition of achievement and a transparent record of impact.
* With "in pool" we mean the pallets that stay in the area where we are able to collect the pallets.
NEW - Return Stars
These stars represent your company’s sustainable impact, based on the number of trees saved by returning pallets to PRS:
- 1 star: 1 – 250 trees saved
- 2 stars: 251 – 1000 trees saved
- 3 stars: 1001+ trees saved
For every 7 pallets returned to PRS and reused, one tree is saved. By doing so, your company actively contributes to reducing deforestation and promoting circular logistics.
Through recovery, refurbishment and reuse of pallets, PRS is able to save 450,000 trees per year; around 1000 per day!

The PRS Green Label “Certificate of appreciation” issued by PRS recognizes clients for participating in sustainable pallet reuse practices as part of our pallet pool by achieving a high return rate of PRS pallets.
This certificate is awarded based on internal data reflecting the percentage of pallets reused over a specific reporting period. While PRS makes reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy of its internal reuse data, the certificate is not independently verified and does not constitute an official environmental certification or third-party endorsement.
